North Bennet St. School

Dear NBSS community,

As you may have seen, beginning May 29, the State of Massachusetts will be lifting all mask-wearing restrictions and allowing businesses to fully open. While this is a positive step to the return to pre-pandemic life, here at the School we need to consider the safety of everyone who works inside the building.

Next week, we will be sharing our vaccine policies and other safety protocols we've decided on so far for the coming year. While we will be relying on vaccination as a tool to help us more fully reopen next year—and many of you have let us know you have gotten a vaccine—not everyone in the School is currently vaccinated.

Wearing masks, keeping programs and pods separated, adhering to physical distancing, and all our other safety protocols have been critical tools this year in reducing infections. To protect everyone’s safety, while in the building or working on off-site projects, we will continue to require daily mask use, physical distancing, and adherence to all our safety protocols through the end of the academic year on July 30.

Again, we will be sharing more information and guidance next week, and you can always find our current protocols and the current Reopening NBSS Plan on our website at nbss.edu/covid19.

Please reach out to me or Bryan McGrath with any questions or concerns. Thank you again for your continued vigilance, and all your hard work in helping the School have a year with so few interruptions.

Best,

Claire Fruitman

Provost
