Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:
Thank you for taking our survey on health and safety protocols last week. Your input has been invaluable in helping our Response Team understand the concerns of our community, and where extra care or attention will be needed as we enter a new phase. In developing the rollback plan for NBSS, know that we make decisions that are right for the School using data and guidelines from a range of sources including the CDC, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, City of Boston, the Commonwealth, and the FDA.
Our success at remaining open, teaching in person, and keeping Covid-19 at bay is proof that we can chart the right course for our community. To that end, below you’ll find a rollback of NBSS protocols that we feel are reasonable, well-timed, and consistent with best practices. Please review the information below, and visit our Health & Safety Plan for more detail.
This new phase of our approach will take effect one week after most of the School returns from spring break, and a month after the CDC and other health agencies reduced their own protocols. This extra time will allow our Response Team to evaluate any effects from the break or community rollbacks, and provide us the confidence to move forward.
